ABOUT US Favonio is an Italian name of warm, delicate wind. Such a delicate gust of wind for us was a first catkin came into our home. Luckily she was a kitty of Devon Rex breed. HOW EVERYTHING STARTED... We are typical four-person family. The only thing we lacked was an animal. After intense negotiations (children wanted a dog, but we were against - because walking with a dog is a very baffling duty, my husband wanted a cat while I, honestly, will be happy without any animal) we decided to look for a pretty tomcat to cuddle sitting in an armchair, which will be friendly for children, not any specific breed. But we had no doubt it should be thoroughbred cat (with pedigree). We started to look for a cat breed we find sympathetic. This way we learned about Devon Rex breed, how Devons looks like, and about their temperament. We visited several Web sites about cat breeding. Finally we choose a lovely tomcat from home-breed "Fandango". We arrived and... a pretty, blue-eyed catkin climbed onto my knees. And her name was quite prophetic: Never Say Never. She gloomed ad me with these pretty blue eyes and... fell asleep. Her mistress stated that this catkin is very promising, so she do not want to sell her. Moreover we were looking for a black tomcat... But it happened as it happened, so there was no return. Instead a black tomcat we got this catkin Never Say Never, which we for short call Tosia. Since the very beginning she is an unfailing source of joy for every one. We have never seen such sweet, self reliant animal which at the same time will be so undemanding and trouble less. Her beauty, grace, agility, aplomb, perfume, delicate touch of fur, or her licking tongue - a pure bliss. Tosia as a 100% example of Devon breed, behaves exactly as stereotypical domestic cat. She have to take part in every house activity. She "helps" us cooking, making laundry but her favorite "work" is cleaning our wardrobes. She has a sweet tooth but is very choosy about food. Well, our catkin do not like every food. She is a perfect tester if there is really a meat in sausage (does not taste frankfurters of some other cheap sausages like "podwawelska" sausage!!! - of course we do not feed her with such things but she is simply not interested in some meet products that humans consume). Presenting all wonderful characteristics of Devon Rex breed (endorsed by jurors on many cat-shows), Tosia encouraged us to start our own Devon Rex breeding. With Tosia's help a several new little kitties, pure examples of Devon Rex breed, enliven our home. She proved veracity of the old maxim: NEVER SAY NEVER!!!
